KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Superintendent I, LOM Capex / Opex Planning Engineer

The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To create and optimize Life of Mine medium- and short-term CAPEX and OPEX requirements, prioritise projects/capital expenditure and develop strategic extraction options to achieve KCSA strategic objectives.

You will have the following:

• Must have a degree in Mining Engineering
• A Post Graduate degree in Mine Planning and Optimisation is an added advantage 
• Must have at least 8 years’ experience in LOM (Long Term Planning) and Mid-term mine planning
• Must have at least 6 years’ experience in building and implementing the   OPEX/CAPEX modelling
• Must have at least 8 years underground mining experience
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous

• To create and optimize LOM, medium- and short-term CAPEX and OPEX requirements
• Implement the Mine Planning Strategy and effective and efficient Mine Planning structures, policies, plans and governance structures
• Manage and oversee Contractors and service providers

• Function as a Mine Planning subject matter expert
• Stakeholder Management - Manage relationships with stakeholders to enable optimisation of the business value chain
