This role involves planning, coordinating and overseeing the mechanical and electrical maintenance management of manufacturing plant machinery and facilities. You’ll offer technical guidance to the maintenance team and establish standards and policies for the installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations. You’ll also be required to plan and manage engineering projects, so effective leadership and supervision skills are essential.

Candidate Requirements

Job Requirements:

§ Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or similar relevant tertiary engineering qualification

§ A minimum of 5 years’ experience in workshop management / plant engineering and maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment

§ Knowledge/experience with PLC systems

§ Knowledge of Health & Safety, HACCP and FSSC quality systems

§ Excellent leadership skills with attention to detail and the ability to thrive under pressue
