KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Superintendent I, Resource Estimation Geologist
The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To estimate, classify, and report mineral resources in compliance with international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101, SAMREC). To apply geostatistics, geological modeling, and quality control to generate accurate and auditable mineral resource estimates that inform mine planning, development, and investment decisions. To develop and maintain short to long term models for mining production and monitor the performance of resources in collaboration with the head of geology. Conduct mine to process plant reconciliation for tonnes and grades, monitoring QAQC for exploration data.
You will have the following:
- Must have a degree in Geology
- A post graduate degree in in Geostatistics
- Must have at least 8 years of experience in Mining Operations and Exploration
- Must have at least 5 years in resource modelling and sampling
- Experience in the Copper Mining environment is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Working knowledge of French will be considered highly advantageous

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
- Mineral Resource Estimation- Estimate, classify, and report mineral resources in compliance with international standards
- Drive effective problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Technical Reporting- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports compliant with JORC, NI 43-101, or other relevant codes.
- Software Proficiency- Use industry-standard tools (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog Edge, Isatis.neo, Supervisor, Vulcan). Manage and manipulate 3D block models and geology models
- Collaboration & Communication-ork with modeling geologists, exploration teams, and mining engineers. Present findings and model outcomes to management and external auditors
- Stakeholder Management - Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- People - Manage self and show up as a good team player
- Finance - Monitor costs or expenses within the approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
