SSK currently has a career opportunity available at its Administration offices, in Humansdorp. The External Marketer will be responsible for promoting, marketing, and selling of livestock and roughage. 

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop markets for livestock and roughage sales
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, farmers, and industry partners to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality livestock to local and regional markets as well as high-quality bulk roughage to farmers
• Negotiate prices and contracts to maximize profitability
• Monitor livestock and roughage market trends, pricing, and demand
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery
• Prepare sales reports and market analysis
  

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven experience in livestock and roughage marketing or agricultural sales
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of livestock and roughage quality standards and market regulations
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets
• Willingness to travel as required
• Dynamic and results-driven
• A passion for the agricultural sector
