DIVISION & DEPARTMENT: IT – Business Systems
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) drives business and system analysis across the company's enterprise platforms, ensuring the delivery of scalable, efficient, and value driven technology solutions. This role leads requirement definition, solution alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic projects and large scale system changes. The Senior BSA also coaches intermediate and junior analysts and contributes to process maturity and best-practice adoption within the IT department.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Lead complex business and system requirement analysis - End-to-end clarity and alignment with business and technical stakeholders
Produce detailed BRDs, user stories, workflows, data requirements, and interface specs - Documentation is accurate, complete, and approved
Drive solution design and support architectural discussions - Solutions aligned to business objectives and system landscape
Support and influence product backlog prioritisation - Priorities reflect business value, risk, and strategic objectives
Coordinate with Developers, Testers, Vendors, and Architects - Requirements understood and delivered effectively
Lead UAT planning and oversight - Smooth UAT execution and resolution of defects
Ensure traceability and governance across full SDLC - Full lifecycle documentation and change traceability
Identify and drive process and system improvement initiatives - Measurable improvement in system and process efficiency

Candidate Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field
Professional Business Analysis or Product Certification (CBAP, AAC, CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) advantageous
Strong understanding of Agile and SDLC methodology
5+ years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst in a complex IT environment
Background –industrial engineering advantageous.
Key areas - strong in Business Processes, documentation, and innovation.
Preferred personality – inquisitive personality, independent – go getter, dependable and innovative.
Proven delivery of medium-to-large systems and digital transformation initiatives
Advanced capability in requirements elicitation, business process modelling, and solution design
Experience with enterprise systems, integrations, and cross-platform business processes
Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and similar tools
Strong facilitation, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrated ability to coach and guide analysts
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
