A manufacturer within the power distribution and electrical switchboard industry, is currently seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their operations in Wadeville, Germiston. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical switchboards and power distribution boards

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine costings

• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information

• Evaluate commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation

• Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align estimates with operational capabilities

• Review and refine costing models to improve accuracy and competitiveness

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating within electric switchboard or power distribution board manufacturing

• Proven commercial estimating experience (not purely quote processing)

• Matric qualification (tertiary qualification advantageous but not mandatory)

• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (mandatory)
