Our client in Linbro Park / Sandton is looking for an Assistant Payroll Manager with more than 8 years payroll experience of which at least 2 years in a managerial payroll position to assist the Remuneration Manager to oversee, perform general management and control functions of all the activities of the Payroll department.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 plus a tertiary qualification in Payroll Management
Extensive knowledge / hands-on experience of Payroll and Time and Attendance systems (Unique / Payspace payroll at parameter level is a Prerequisite)
In-depth knowledge of labour laws, LRA, BCEA, COIDA, OSHA, POPI, Income Tax Act, Wage Determination Act, Bargaining Council Agreements, Payroll best practices
Proficient in MS Office and Excel advance level
Processing of new engagements and staff movements as well as Payroll related input in line with Wage determination 452, company policies and procedures, agreements and legislation
Knowledge of calculations and taxation of service vehicles and car allowances, payments of lump sums and applications for Tax Directives, Accounting interfaces
Handling and processing of statistical data, legislative and financial info such as annual bonus, attendance bonus, productivity bonus, leave provisions, retrenchment provisions.
Labour stats and employment Equity reports
Assist in compiling and managing departmental budge and monitor against actuals
