Role OverviewThe Junior Accounts and Admin Clerk provides day-to-day support to the finance and administrative functions of the business. This role is suited to a detail-oriented individual with basic accounting knowledge and strong organisational skills.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccounts / Finance SupportCapture supplier invoices, credit notes, and expenses accuratelyAssist with debtors and creditors processingPrepare and issue customer invoicesAllocate payments and reconcile debtor accountsAssist with bank reconciliationsProcess petty cash and staff expense claimsSupport month-end procedures and audit preparationMaintain accurate financial records and filing systemsLiaise with suppliers and customers regarding account queriesAdministrative DutiesGeneral office administration and filing (physical and electronic)Answer and redirect phone calls and emails professionallyPrepare basic reports and spreadsheetsAssist with document control and record keepingOrder stationery and office suppliesSupport HR admin such as leave records and employee files (if required)Minimum Qualifications and ExperienceGrade 12 (Matric) – essentialCertificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or Office Administration (advantageous)1–2 years’ experience in a similar junior accounts or admin roleBasic understanding of accounting principlesExperience with accounting software (e.g. Sage Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks) – advantageousProficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
