- Daily control of fleet; 25 – 30 vehicles
- Management of drivers
- Control of the pallets & PODs on trucks
- Operators relationship with driver is very important – professional relationship
- Operators to motivate drivers to perform better/be more productive
- Communication at loading and offloading points. Encourage drivers to finish loading and offloading as quick as possible
- Route planning
- Communication between driver and workshop - report all breakdowns to workshop.
- Ensure drivers have valid PDPs, vehicles were tested (COFs) and road worthy, cross border permits and Hazchem certificates are in place.
- Security and safety

Candidate Requirements
- Experience in the field will be beneficial
- Must be well organised, have the ability to work quickly, work under pressure and be able to multi-task
- Computer literate
- Good people relations
- Good communication skills
