Purpose
Produce accurate, reliable and compliant financial information that supports sound business decisions and meets statutory obligations in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Accounting and Finance
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Manage control assessment tracking system ‘CATS’ (Internal Audit). Implement and monitor internal controls.
Assist with cash flow management, accuracy, tracking and template improvement
Accounts Payable
Review and Approval of EP, APMS, GEVS, IBTS vouchers and other approvals.
Drive the no vendors in 90 days rule within the AP ledger, assist in reducing any vendors with balance in with 90 days and above.
External Audit
Resolve queries raised by External Auditors to complete audit.
Assist with External Audit information collation, preparation and submission.
Tax and Statutory
Responsible for tax risk management, monitoring and tracking.
Serve as PIC/liaison for Tax internally (group) and externally (SARS and other key stakeholders).
Completion of Corporate Income Tax, Provisional Tax and Deferred Tax together with all related schedules.
In charge of all tax related statutory submissions, filings and calculations.
Assist with other non-tax related statutory submissions, filings and calculations such as Statssa and adhoc as necessary
Completion and filing of Expat/FSE tax returns and serve as liaison between FSEs and consultant.
Assist with tax related issues and ensure the risk to the company is minimized.
Assist with drafting Transfer Pricing Document and serve as liaison with consultant.
Completion of CBC Reporting.
Coordination with consultants and advisors.
Fixed Assets (incl ROU) and Inventory Management
Maintain the fixed asset register – including disposals, additions and transfers
Assist by coordinating and conducting the Fixed Asset and Inventory counts
Completion of Fixed Asset Reports
Administration of TAMS
Preparation of monthly balance sheet recons
Month end closing assistance
Assist with month end closing (full function) to be available to act as back up for Finance and Accounting Manager.
Prepare journals for Finance and Accounting Manager review and ensure accurate recording of Sales, General and Administration Expenses.
Variance analysis of Sales, General and Administration Expenses.
Reconciliation preparation and monitoring of Sales, General and Administration Expenses
Reporting
Assist with reports and management of deadlines/targets e.g. GFVS/Cash Flow.
Maintain the general ledger
Adhoc reporting to HQ, RHQ and RTC.
Minute taking and tracking of action points.
Assistance with Finance Projects.
Assistance with GFVS investigation, tracking, submission and monitoring.
Assistance with creation, implementation and monitoring of standard operating procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist in supervision of 2 x accounts payable clerks in guidance, leadership and management of deadlines/targets and other indirect supervision as required.
Support the Jeong Do Management principles in carrying out your duties.

Candidate Requirements
Required ExperienceMinimum 6-8 years experience as a Financial Accountant
Able to work overtime when required, especially during month end
Required Competencies
Must be able to solve queries accurately at a fast pace
Excellent communication skills (interact with suppliers)
Ability to work under pressure
Deadline driven and ability to prioritize duties
Able to multi-task

Travel Requirements
The position is mainly office bound.
Adhoc travel is required for fixed asset counts – own car required.
