REPORTING TO THE COSTING & PRODUCT DATA MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE:
Estimates material, labour and overhead costs to establish costs of own products and those bought outside. Does pricing comparisons and feasibility studies on own company products and competitors' products. May also be involved in tender document preparation or in the examination of tenders. Assists with analysis of costing reports. Supervision of the Mill Liner estimation team.
JOB FUNCTION:
Administration:
Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOMs, and margin analyses using ERP systems.
Maintain pricing data, contracts, drawings, and master data to required quality standards. 
Maintenance of advanced pricing rules
Assist with the costing of existing contracts and contract proposals. Assist Sales Analyst & Contracts Manager in assessing the profitability of existing contracts before & after adjustments.
Cost Management:
Analyse product costs versus selling prices to ensure profitability and competitiveness. 
Maintain price lists, costing tools, and update material and operational rates in line with actual costs.
Reporting:
Generate and maintain weekly costing and integrity reports for management review.
Ensure accuracy, approval, and compliance of all costing and financial reports.
People Management:
Supervise, develop, and performance-manage the estimation team in line with HR policies. 
Provide daily guidance, coaching, and ensure discipline, capability, and delivery standards are met.
