    💼Bookkeeper

    Our client, a newly established business in the hydraulic industry, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Bookkeeper to manage the full financial function of the company. This role is well suited to a candidate who is comfortable working in a start-up environment and contributing to the development of financial systems and processes from inception.

    About the Company:

    This company operates within the hydraulic sector, supplying high-quality hydraulic components and solutions to a diverse client base. The business is focused on technical excellence, reliability, and building long-term client relationships within industrial and commercial environments.

    📍Location: Wallmannsthal, Pretoria
    📅Start Date: As soon as possible
    🕰️Working Hours: Monday - Thursday | 08:00 – 17:00
                              Fridays |08:00 – 16:00

    💰Salary: R30 000 (Depending on experience)
    🪑Available seats: 1

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Full Debtors and Creditors function

    • Daily bank reconciliations

    • Daily and monthly cash flow reporting

    • Full accounting function up to trial balance

    • Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial year-end statements

    • Assisting auditors during annual audits

    • Costing and cost calculations

    • Liaising with shipping agents regarding imports

    • Preparation and processing of daily and monthly payments

    • Preparation and processing of foreign payments

    • Full payroll function (salaries and commissions)

    • SARS submissions: EMP201, VAT, EMP501 (monthly and annually)

    • Working on SARS eFiling

    • Ensuring internal contra accounts balance once branches are operational

    • Compensation Fund administration

    • General ad hoc office administration duties


    Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12)

    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant bookkeeping experience

    • Proven experience with:

      • Sage Accounting

      • VIP Classic Payroll

    • Strong computer literacy

    • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the finance function


    Key Challenges:

    As this is a newly established company, the role will involve a high workload and the setup of financial controls, reporting structures, and processes. A proactive and solutions-driven mindset is essential.

    Hoofverantwoordelikhede:

    • Volledige Debiteure- en Krediteurebestuur

    • Daaglikse bankrekonsiliasies

    • Daaglikse en maandelikse kontantvloei-verslae

    • Volledige rekeningkunde tot proefbalans

    • Voorbereiding van maandelikse bestuursstate en finansiële jaareindestate

    • Samewerking met ouditeure tydens finansiële oudits

    • Kosteberamings en kosteberekeninge

    • Opvolg met verskepingsagente rakende invoere

    • Voorbereiding en laai van daaglikse en maandelikse betalings

    • Voorbereiding en verwerking van buitelandse betalings

    • Volledige betaalstaatfunksie (salarisse en kommissies)

    • SARS-indienings: EMP201, BTW, EMP501 (maandeliks en jaarliks)

    • Werksaam met SARS eFiling

    • Verseker dat interne kontra-rekeninge met toekomstige takke balanseer

    • Vergoedingsfonds-administrasie

    • Algemene ad hoc kantooradministrasie


    Vereistes:

    • Graad 12 (Matric)

    • Minimum 5 jaar relevante boekhou-ervaring

    • Bewese ondervinding in:

      • Sage "Accounting"

      • "VIP Classic Payroll"

    • Goeie rekenaarvaardighede

    • Vermoë om onafhanklik te werk en verantwoordelikheid te neem vir ’n volledige finansiële funksie


    Belangrike Uitdagings van die Rol:

    Aangesien die besigheid nuut is, sal die suksesvolle kandidaat ’n belangrike rol speel in die vestiging van finansiële prosesse, strukture en beheermaatreëls. Hierdie pos vereis ’n praktiese, proaktiewe ingesteldheid en die vermoë om hoë volumes werk te hanteer.
