Our client, a UK-based engineering consultancy with operations in South Africa, is seeking an experienced Intermediate MEP Modeller/Draughtsperson to join their team. This is an excellent remote work opportunity for a skilled professional with 5-10 years' experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection) modelling and coordination.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D MEP models, coordinating building services layouts, and creating detailed construction documentation. Working from consultant information, technical submissions, and design schematics, you will develop comprehensive MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire) models and coordinate services installations for building projects.

Work remotely while the company explores office space options in Cape Town

 

Key Requirements:

• 5-10 years of MEP modelling and drafting experience
• High-level 2D drafting and documentation skills (essential)
• Intermediate to advanced 3D modelling experience (essential)
• Proficient in Revit MEP modelling
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and ductwork distribution
• Understanding of electrical distribution and cable management
• Familiarity with plumbing and drainage systems
• Knowledge of fire protection systems and sprinkler design
• Understanding of building services integration
• Comfortable working remotely
