Maintenance Planner vacancy based in Angola. Must have Grade 12, ideally Trade Test. Code 8 drivers.Must have a minimum of 3 years of mining experience as a maintenance planner. Knowledge of diamond plants, DMS, and Recovery circuits is non-negotiable.

Location: Luaxe, Angola (Expat)

Requirements:

Minimum: Grade 12. Ideally, a Trade Test
Code 08
Minimum: 3 years of mining experience as a maintenance planner. (Diamond plant)
Desired: 6 years of mining experience as a maintenance planner. (Diamond plant)

Responsibilities:

Knowledge of diamond plants, DMS, and Recovery circuits.
Understanding and applying maintenance planning best practices.
Auditing skills.
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector.
Knowledge of engineering standards.
Understanding /knowledge of maintenance process & principles.
Basic Computer and MS Office skills.
Implement maintenance strategies and develop maintenance procedures.
Conducted preventative/proactive maintenance planning.
Conduct Planned/scheduled Maintenance/Repairs.
Utilise the latest maintenance management tools to ensure effective maintenance of all operational assets.
Act as a liaison between engineering and production staff.
Apply the latest maintenance safety technologies to ensure the best maintenance safety performance and statutory compliance.
Develop detailed work packages from preventive maintenance routine (PMR) findings and corrective maintenance activities for all maintenance teams.
Analyse and screen corrective maintenance (CM) job cards and burning maintenance issues for opportunities to perform root cause failure analysis to prevent future failure.
Coordinate root cause analysis.
Attend to procedural and equipment issues that arise and require engineering evaluation and direction to improve specific maintenance procedures.
Assist Maintenance supervisors with technical problems
Analyse spare parts inventory requirements and continuously improve inventory control.
Compile periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to ensure Management has up-to-date information for decision making.
Implement Management’s procurement requirements for spares, materials, and outsourced work.
Comply with safety, health, security, and environmental standards
Coordinate the drawing of detailed maintenance tasks.
