Quantity Surveyor - Epping
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- 5 to 8 years’ experience within a construction company
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and MS Project
- Strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Professional command of English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and take initiative
- Prepare tender documentation and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities, for public and private sector construction projects
- Accurate and timeous submission of monthly valuations, including variations, site instructions, and claims
- Measurement and valuation of work completed on site in collaboration with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors
- Valuation and certification of subcontractor claims on a monthly basis
- Control, evaluation, and approval of project variations, liaising with clients and subcontractors
- Preparation of subcontractor appointment and contract documentation
- Support the procurement process by assisting the buyer in negotiating competitive pricing and favourable terms with suppliers
