An exciting job opportunity is available for a Refrigeration Foreman within an FMCG environment in the Western Cape.

You will manage and maintain all refrigeration plants with a focus on safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operations, in line with company standards, OEE targets, and legal requirements. This position involves overseeing the daily operation and preventive maintenance of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems, supporting fault-finding and repairs, ensuring accurate reporting on maintenance activities and downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives through root cause analysis. You will also play a key role in safety compliance and contributing to overall plant reliability and operational performance.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess a solid technical background in refrigeration and electrical systems, with a relevant refrigeration or electrical qualification, along with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience and at least 5 years of experience leading a technical team or workshop. Strong experience with ammonia refrigeration systems, knowledge of cold storage refrigeration systems, exposure to food processing environments, excellent teamwork skills, and well-developed leadership, and problem-solving abilities will be essential.
