Role:A well-established chemical dosing operation is seeking a Mechanical Fitter with a strong technical and mechanical background. This role is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys mechanical work, installations, and on-site activities, and who has a keen eye for detail and problem-solving ability.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical fitting, installations, and site work
Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment
Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving
Ensure work is completed to required quality and safety standards
Work closely with project teams to meet deadlines and operational requirements

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 1 year working experience in site work and/or mechanical installations
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Ability to understand mechanical systems and how they operate
Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Hands-on, practical approach with attention to detail
No age restriction

Our client is a specialist chemical dosing and project-based engineering company providing mechanical, technical, and installation solutions across various industrial environments. The company focuses on quality workmanship, reliable systems, and hands-on technical expertise, supporting clients through installations, maintenance, and project execution.

Reporting Line
Reports to the Project Manager or Technical Foreman, depending on the project.

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 07:45 – 16:45
Friday: 08:00 – 15:00

Remuneration

Salary range: R15,000 – R20,000 per month
Higher offers up to R25,000 may be considered for suitably qualified and competent candidates
Current salary may be matched, depending on experience and skill level

Benefits

3% of basic salary contributed towards a retirement annuity
13th cheque, subject to management discretion

Annual Shutdown
Company closes for 10 working days over the Christmas period, typically from 15 December
