Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess sites for installation readiness:
On site, assess the requirements for installation such as power supply, steel work required, accessibility and tools required for the job
Going to customer sites to do correct measurements for new installations
Following assessment of the site, compile an “installation pack” including all the necessary tools, parts and accessories required for the installation
Ensure that the customer’s Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met, and inductions completed where necessary
Compile necessary Risk Assessments for each site
Installations:
Executing accurate installations of all Maxiflex products
Ensure that the assigned installation is completed in good time to achieve excellent customer service
Giving feedback to management on efficiency of team members and problems that may arise
Taking full and total responsibility for each installation
Repairs and Maintenance:
Going to customer sites to do repair and service assessments
Fault-finding on breakdown sites
Repairs, maintenance and servicing of all mechanical and electrical parts on all types of doors and docking equipment
Quality Control:
Implementing and enforcing strict installation quality control measures to ensure high standard of product and installation
Commissioning and Handover:
Ensuring that each installation is professionally handed over to the client together with senior management if necessary
General Duties:
Technical Full technical knowledge of all products in the Maxiflex range Able to solve technical challenges at customer sites
Working Environment:
Ensuring that all tools and machinery are in working order and report damaged or lost tools
Using a checklist, vehicles need to be checked once a month to ensure that all tools are accounted for and in good working order, that the vehicle itself is in good working order and whether there is unaccounted stock in the vehicles. The tidiness and cleanliness of the vehicle is to be upheld at all times.
All safety equipment / safety clothing and safety requirements have to be checked on a monthly basis and replaced or repaired where necessary.
Maintaining a clean, clear, tidy working environment at all times Considering your own safety as well as that of your co-workers at all times

Ensuring customer satisfaction in every aspect of your duties. Be aware of the customer, the respect you show and how you interact. You are a representative of the company
Always try to exceed the customer’s expectation by “under promise and over deliver”
Ensure that you look presentable when interacting with a client
Always strive for exceptional customer service
Team Responsibilities:
Assisting team members outside of your scope of duty if the need arises
Always show curtesy, respect and friendliness towards your team members

Candidate Requirements
Grade 12 (with English & Mathematics) or equivalent Technical Trade CertificateMinimum of 3 years Junior Field Technician or Minimum of 3 years technical, electrical or industrial working experience
Tertiary Trade Certificate an advantage
Valid South African Driver’s License
Valid Forklift license
Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
Ability to weld (welding qualification an advantage)
Ability to work at heights (Working at Heights qualification necessary)
Risk Assessment qualification First Aid Level 1 Scaffolding erection and inspection qualification
Physically capable to perform installations by passing a full medical exam annually
Show energy and enthusiasm in performing duties
Be able to handle tasks timeously and of a very high standard
Show initiative and be willing to assist beyond own area of responsibility
Ability to solve problems and find solutions
Maturity and responsibility to be able to work without supervision
Willingness to assist junior team members with advice, sharing of knowledge and hands-on assistance when necessary
Computer Literate
Fluent and literate in English
