Job Title: Pattern Maker
Location: ETL Automotive SeatCovers in Roodepoort
Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-driven Pattern Maker, ranging from fresh excellent newly graduated to mature PatternMasters, to join our SeatCover Manufacturing plant at ETL Automotive, Roodepoort.
The Pattern Maker will be responsible for creating patterns that accurately reflect the designer's vision and meet the requirements for SeatCover production. Complete handover and mentoring in a very established department.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of garment construction, excellent attention to detail, and pattern problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Automotive Industry to understand their needs and create accurate patterns based on their sketches or specifications
- Develop and alter patterns to ensure proper snug fit and functionality of automotive SeatCovers
- Conduct fittings and make adjustments to patterns as needed
- Create markers for production, optimizing fabric utilization and minimizing waste
- Consult with production team to ensure patterns are practical and cost-effective for manufacturing
- Stay updated on vehicle industry trends, new techniques, and technologies in pattern making
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of different fabrics
- Proficiency in pattern making software, plotter, digitizing and CAD programs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Strong communication and team skills

Candidate Requirements
This position is open and ideal ranging from fresh design student graduates to mature experienced pattern master applicants.
Applicant must be from a stable structured home enviroment, of a pleasant nature, team player, vehicle mobile, fluent in English and trainable in various CAD, plotter, nesting programs.
Position, department and company structure is well established, and includes full introduction & mentoring training into the position from the out-going long-serving ETL Pattern Master.
