Laanhof is looking for a reliable, well-organised, and guest-focused Assistant Manager to join their accommodation team, based in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate can work confidently both independently and as part of a team, and brings strong problem-solving abilities along with excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.

Duties will include (but will not be limited to): *Manage all online booking platforms *Welcoming guests at Laanhof (Stellenbosch) *Making arrangements for guests’ arrivals at Bokkombaai (Blouberg) & Matjiesvlei (Calitzdorp) *Communicating booking information to the appropriate staff at Bokkombaai & Matjiesvlei *Handling guest enquiries & complaints *Responsible for corrective actions when needed *Marketing on social media and websites *Assisting with the marketing and sales of olive products *Handling necessary stock purchases as required *Making arrangements for repairs & maintenance of all units *Transport for work purposes when needed (reimbursed) *Inspecting Laanhof units for quality control (weekly) *Inspecting Bokkombaai units for quality control (monthly) *Inspecting Matjiesvlei units for quality control (bi-annualy).

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality or similar field OR

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role will beneficial, but not essential;

• Good computer literacy (MS Office & Canva) - Nightsbridge will be advantageous;

• Knowledge of and the ability to manage social media marketing will be a strong advantage;

• From time to time, travel to Bokkombaai and Matjiesvlei will be required to assist with management, issues, maintenance, inspection and marketing. If travel to Matjiesvlei is required, a minimum stay of 2 nights will be necessary - accommodation will be provided.
