Description
PSP Animal Feed, a part of the SSK Group, currently has a career opportunity at its Animal Feed Manufacturing plant in Humansdorp. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall management of all maintenance plans for the plant. The successful candidate will ensure that the facilities, layout, and machinery used to manufacture new and existing materials and products operate efficiently and effectively. The incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing the repairs and maintenance of the plant's equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• The planning, budgeting for, and execution of a preventive maintenance program that will lead to effective scheduling of maintenance programs.
• Ensure that all projects meet time constraints according to a project plan, and in accordance with the OHS legislation, plant policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that all plant maintenance activities comply with the safety regulations and standards, and in accordance with the OHS legislation.
  
• Proper maintenance reporting to ensure the effective use of the operational management system and reporting of the maintenance and production teams.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or a technical qualification with a valid Code B (Code 08) driving license.
  
• At least 5 years of experience in maintaining a feed processing plant, maize, and grain silos.
  
• Training in Occupational Health and Safety aspects will be an advantage.
  
• Good understanding of relevant equipment, maintenance processes, and best practices.
  
• Be able to manage the maintenance teams, motivate, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with a focus on the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the plant.
