Our client, a national multi-disciplinary construction company specialising in medium to mega scale projects, seeks to employ a HV Electrical Project/Contract Manager to join this progressive and expanding professional team.Please note that the role is based in Cape Town, however the projects are national and the requirement to be able to travel is essential.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (HV), coupled with ECSA registration and 5-8 years experience in managing the full lifecycle of HV projects (11Kv – 132kv).

You will have proven expertise in developing and implementing project procurement and execution strategies and plans, as well as implementing construction methodologies and installation schedules.

You will have solid working experience in contract and commercial management of projects, specifically NEC, JBCC and FIDIC contracts, as well as the appointment of subcontractors.

Experience in providing technical leadership for HV designs/installations to include substations, switchgear, transformers and SCADA interfaces.

Sound experience in HSE, quality and risk management is critical

You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
