Accountant

Appointment: Full-time position
Locations: Sunderland Ridge, Centurion 
Salary: R30 000 CTC per month

Diploma or B.Com degree in Accounting | Finance

Job Description:

• 
  

  Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements (P&L), and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulations.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous accountant experience and essential requirement.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Bookkeeping & Record Keeping: Managing all accounting transactions, including recording journal entries, processing accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining the general ledger.

  
  


• 
  

  Reconciliations and Closings: Performing regular account reconciliations (bank, credit card, etc.), and managing the timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Tax Compliance: Computing and preparing tax returns (individual and/or corporate) and ensuring all tax payments and filings comply with local, state, and federal laws.

  
  


• 
  

  Auditing and Controls: Conducting internal audits or assisting external auditors, and developing and maintaining strong internal financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.

  
  


• 
  

  Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborating with management to prepare budgets and financial forecasts, and conducting variance analysis to compare actual performance against targets.

  
  


• 
  

  Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, costs, and risks, and providing strategic insights and recommendations to management for cost reduction and profitability enhancement.

  
  

Preferred Skills:

- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
