Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, and is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.

The successful applicant will report to the Quality Officer or nominee.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.

EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

6 Months Exposure to relevant production process in a plant / operations environment.

DUTIES (including but not limited to):

Ensure effective and efficient operation of the total production process making use of manual operation as and when necessary while maintaining process conditions and monitoring production parameters.
Operate and control various types of equipment (HM Drum, conveyors, vibrating screens, pumps etc.) and machinery. Conduct pre-shift inspection of equipment, machine parts, and/or components of the production line to ensure production flow according to standards within prescribed processes and procedures. Continuously observe /monitor component performance against standards to identify any sub performance / non-conformance or deviations, and report to Supervisor. Assist with preventative and breakdown maintenance. Hourly inspections to make sure all equipment is functional.
Adhere to planned maintenance / production schedules to assist in achieving production throughput. Ensure optimised process flow. Identify constraints and/or troubleshoot operational deviations and communicate to supervisor or line manager. Ensure correct product grade. by following grade assurance and control processes.
Perform lock-out procedure whenever required.
Perform housekeeping duties whenever required
