Employer: Placement Point Pty Ltd
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems (chillers, VRF/VRV, split units, DX plants, pumps, towers, electrical panels).
- Conduct diagnostics, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance on mechanical and refrigeration systems.
- Perform system commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishments to ensure compliance with manuals and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems, provide technical support, and liaise with clients.
- Supervise junior staff, ensure proper PPE usage, and maintain compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act
A well established company based in the West Rand urgently requires 2 HVAC Technicians:
DUTIES:
Candidate Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Red Seal Trade Test or NQF Level 4 in Mechanical/Refrigeration
- Qualified Artisan certificate benificial
- Industrial refrigeration trade test & Gas license (preferred for advanced roles)
- 2 – 5 years in HVAC installation/maintenance
- Valid driver’s license (Code 8/B)
- Computer literacy
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans often advantageous)
- Willingness to work overtime and standby
- Strong technical and troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of gas installation and safe handling
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal and client-facing skills
