Boesmansdrift, an established fruit farm situated just outside Bonnievale (Western Cape), has a position available for a Production Manager who brings a strong hands-on approach.

The ideal candidate is someone with the capacity and ambition to grow into the General Manager role within approximately two years, taking on broader strategic responsibility, and being the successor the 2 owners (Directors). The role therefore requires strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

Duties will include (but are not limited to): *Production of wine grapes, apricots, peaches, pomegranates, and lemons on the farm *Managing irrigation and fertilisation programmes *Overseeing chemical and biological pest control *Planning, coordinating, and executing all seasonal work programmes *Managing personnel, including productivity, training, and development *Implementing new developments, plantings, and farm expansions *Maintaining accurate records of all farming processes and ensuring compliance with GlobalG.A.P, SIZA, WIETA, M&S, and other relevant audit standards *Overseeing farm maintenance, infrastructure, and general upkeep *Driving production increases and continuous improvement across all crops.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
• Relevant agricultural qualification will be advantageous;
• 5–8 years’ experience in a similar role, OR 10–12 years’ proven experience in fruit production without a tertiary qualification;
• Experience with some of the listed crops essential (exposure to all will be advantageous but not required);
• Knowledge of relevant quality systems and audit processes;
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, specifically Excel);
• Valid driver’s license.
