SENIOR RESTAURANT MANAGERFranschhoek: My client, a contemporary, high-end dining establishment based in Franschhoek, is seeking to employ a dynamic and service-driven Senior Restaurant Manager. This role is suited to a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives in an upmarket environment, leads with confidence, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing a high-performing front-of-house team.

Purpose of the Role: To oversee and manage all front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, exceptional guest experiences, and alignment with the restaurant’s premium positioning, brand standards and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To

Managing day-to-day restaurant operations and service standards
Leading, training and motivating the front-of-house team to deliver consistent, high-quality service
Ensuring exceptional guest experience and handling guest relations professionally and proactively
Overseeing reservations, floor management and service flow
Managing staff scheduling, attendance and performance
Working closely with the kitchen and senior management to ensure operational alignment
Maintaining brand standards, presentation and ambience throughout service
Managing stock, ordering, cost controls and supplier relationships
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and liquor regulations

Criteria

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
Relevant hospitality qualification
Proven experience as a Senior Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager in an upmarket or fine-dining environment
Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced service environment
Strong guest relations and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of hospitality operations, cost controls and service excellence
