Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ in Midrand has an opportunity available for a DC Debrief Supervisor to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to achieve operational excellence within the Dis-Chem Distribution centre incorporating functions in necessary areas, ensuring that both legal and customer requirements are met.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 Years relevant experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment
Advantageous:
- Experience in the Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.
- Degree/Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in the Retail/Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Experience with SAP, EWM or other ERP systems
Job Specification…
- Ensure optimal route and space planning to meet the day-to-day strategic objectives.
- Manage the routing of vehicles to ensure optimum utilisation and vehicle turnaround times.
- Arrange returns and collection as per the uplift instruction documents of stocks, which must be tracked throughout the return process.
- Manage the process flow within the return cage, as per Dis-Chem standard and operational requirements.
- Ensure that maintenance is carried out within the requirement of the vehicle operational requirement and maintain accurate records of vehicles.
- Assist with credit note reductions related to damages, picking and checking inaccuracies.
- Manage returned, cancelled stock back to transport and warehouse and ensure proper handover processes.
- Manage proper documentation flow documentation completion of detail, credit accuracy recons between documents and system.
- Monitor exception, credit and outstanding Proof of Delivery reports.
- Ensure efficient debrief process to avoid the build-up of stock or delay in credits and stock put away.
- Conduct pre and post trip inspection and check sheets.
- Ensure drivers are debriefed, paperwork is filled and queries resolved.
- Monitor fleet running cost and diesel usage.
- Conduct load verification.
- Report on short and extra stock and conduct investigations.
- Coordinate damaged stock – transport and warehouse.
- Ensure all drivers adhere to the delivery procedures at all times
- Request and submit outstanding PODs to the Dispatch Manager.
- Ensure effective and efficient resolution and communication of internal and external customer day-to-day queries.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all 3rd party stakeholders and communicate effectively to resolve any supply chain issues.
- Ensure that all deliveries are delivered in full, on time and to the correct customer.
- Ensure that all customer related operational queries are efficiently resolved and feedback is given to customers and special orders are prioritised.
- Ensure clear communication at all timed with Drivers/Van Assistants.
- Housekeeping must be in accordance to Dis-Chem standards.
- Manage the process and people in the totes cleaning area and the rolltainer repair area.
- Ensure that the Dispatch Yard, is kept neat at all times.
- Ensure that the equipment processing and waste management areas, is kept organized and neat at all times.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Adhere to Dis-Chem Uniform and personal appearance policy.
