Registered Nurse
Kakamas, Northern Cape

Requirements:

• Senior Certificate with a Nursing degree or diploma
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council with a valid annual receipt
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical nursing experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
• Must be able to function well under pressure and take strong responsibility for the care of residents
• Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• Knowledge of the scientific nursing process
• Knowledge and experience in gerontology and geriatrics will be an advantage
• Valid EB driver’s licence

Duties:

• Management of patient care, nursing staff and care workers
• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing and resident care
• Taking responsibility for residents’ medication
• Multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure holistic resident care
• Training of nursing staff and care workers
• Performing general nursing and caregiving duties
• All administrative duties associated with the position
