Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience as a farm mechanic, equipment technician, or heavy-duty machinery mechanic.
Strong knowledge of tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers, and general agricultural machinery.
Experience with engine repairs, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
Valid driver’s license; ability to operate tractors and farm machinery safely.
Previous farm experience is an advantage.

Technical Skills

Ability to conduct fault-finding, mechanical diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.
Skilled in servicing, lubrication, calibrations, and replacement of worn components.
Competent in managing spare parts, workshop tools, and service logs.
Understanding of seasonal machinery requirements for planting, spraying, and harvesting.

Physical & Operational Requirements

Ability to work long hours during peak seasons (planting/harvest).
Ability to lift and move heavy parts and tools.
Willingness to assist with tractor driving and field operations when needed.
Comfortable working in rural/remote farm environments.
