Responsibilities:
Financial Planning&Strategy
- Have a clear understanding of the input and out put of the company and be able to recommend points of opportunity.
- Own the company’s annual budgeting process and lead quarterly reforecasts.
- Build long-term financial models to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.
- Develop margin, revenue, and cost projections and present insights to the executive team.
- Partner with leadership on business cases for new initiatives, partnerships, and product lines. Underwrite new outside opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitive benchmarks to guide financial strategy.
- Create RSU proposal
Cash Flow, Treasury & Capital Management
- Maintain cash flow visibility and manage short- and long-term liquidity planning.
- Optimize cash cycles, AR/AP processes, and working capital efficiency.
- Evaluate financing needs and support capital-raising efforts when required.
Accounting Oversight & Financial Controls
- Oversee accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financials.
- Tax strategist mindset (not required to be a CPA but have experience dealing with them)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Improve and document accounting workflows and policies.
- Map out strategy to track cross department/company(s) financials.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
- Recommend and implement dashboards and reporting tools for revenue, margins, and KPIs.
- Lead variance analysis for revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on financial trends and risks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Product, and Account Management on forecasting and planning.
- Support GTM teams with pricing models and client profitability insights.
- Work with Operations on cost optimization and resource planning.
- Translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial teams.
Systems, Tools & Process Optimization
- Implement and optimize financial systems and AP automation tools.
- Automate reporting and improve data visibility.
- Build scalable processes for billing, commissions, and reconciliations.
- Integrate new data sources into finance workflows.
- Be able to set up corporation
- Work third party apps like payroll, AR automations, Clients portals, etc
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify financial risks and establish mitigation plans.
- Maintain compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure data accuracy across financial systems.
- Oversee internal and external audits.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor members of the finance team.
- Create a culture of accuracy, accountability, and improvement.
- Communicate financial strategy and insights across departments.
Executive Partnership & Board Support
- Prepare board-level presentations and financial narratives.
- Provide strategic recommendations on investments and resource allocation.
- Support M&A evaluations, due diligence, and integration projects when needed.
Required Skills
- Communication Skills: 2 to 3 years
- Financial Skills: 5 to 6 years
- Tech Savy: 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
- Progressive finance experience, including FP&A, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Strong financial modeling skills with ability to build long-term forecasts, scenario models, and margin/revenue projections.
- Proven experience owning budgeting, reforecasting, and cash-flow planning for a growing company.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP compliance, month-end close, and financial controls (CPA not required).
- Experience working with auditors, tax advisors, and third-party financial platforms (payroll, AR/AP automation, billing, client portals).
- Ability to evaluate capital needs, support fundraising, and assess new business initiatives or partnerships.
- Skilled in dashboarding, KPI reporting, variance analysis, and presenting insights to executives/board.
- Tech-savvy with financial systems, automation tools, and data integrations; able to improve processes and workflows.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and maintaining accurate financial data across systems.
- Leadership capabilities with experience mentoring finance teams and driving accountability.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex financial insights into clear business recommendations.
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 9 am- 5 pm EST
