Are you an experienced Retail Store Manager with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences? A well-established, fast-growing retail group with a national footprint is looking for a dynamic individual to manage one of their key retail branches in Montagu.This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and make a real impact in a customer-focused, community-driven retail environment.Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the full management of a retail store—overseeing sales performance, staff management, inventory control, and all operational and administrative processes. You will ensure the store runs efficiently, delivers excellent customer service, and meets financial and operational targets.
Minimum Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- National Diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ retail sales experience with proven success in a management role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent MS Office proficiency and experience with retail operating systems
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong product knowledge and understand customer needs
- Develop and execute consumer-focused store experiences and promotional displays
- Deliver messaging and initiatives that influence and inspire customers
- Prepare annual budgets, manage expenses, and analyse variances to maximise profitability
- Maintain strong stock management processes, including controls and reconciliations
- Promote customer satisfaction and resolve customer concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and inspire a high-impact team
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Encourage teamwork, inclusivity, and positive workplace culture
