Vacancy:                       CCTV Technician

Purpose of position: The CCTV division within the Product division requires a CCTV Technician to service, install, fault find, do link-ups and do basic repairs to CCTV installations.

Minimum Requirements:

o   PC Literate

o   Must have a well-defined fault finding ability.

o   Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

o   Sound knowledge of Networking and CCTV technologies.

o   Working knowledge of routers and Portforwarding.

o   Basic electronic knowledge N1 or equivalent.

o   Sound knowledge of electronic testing equipment.

o Valid driver’s licence essential

• Must be PSIRA registered (Grade C)

• Knowledge of Listener advantageous

• Sound knowledge of DSC, FBI, CADDX, IDS, Paradox and Texecom systems

• Intercom systems and access control advantageous

• Able to work standby as per duty sheet

o   Must have a strong sense for attention-to-detail.

o   Basic Knowledge of SAP

Job Function:

·        Installing and maintaining Fidelity ADT community and customer based CCTV installations.

·        Problem solving and link-ups of CCTV systems to our CCTV monitoring center.

·        Remote configuration and team viewer support.

·        Be able to test, analyze and do fault finding on a CCTV systems.

·        Will be required to be on standby for control room for system maintenance from time to time.

·        Keep an inventory of spares available.

·        Provide weekly reports to management.
