Annual salary: AED 108,000 (United Arab Emirates dirhams) - equivalent to approximately R 500,000 (South African Rand) - plus possible overtime opportunities and discretionary performance bonus
Relocation information: Two-year work visa and personal health insurance will be provided, interest-free loan (to be deducted from monthly salary over first three months of employment) available to assist with relocation expenses (flights, moving, foreign diving license conversion, vehicle purchase)
Expenses: Car running costs relating to work obligations will be reimbursed, chef's uniform will be provided but up to chef to maintain cleanliness and appearance themselves, no accommodation or other allowance provided
Employment contract: One-year contract starting in January 2025 with option to extend, six working days per week in Dubai, no external engagements or part-time work allowed, annual leave must be taken in August (with the exception of one week in December)
Interview process:
- Stage 1 - the online application process and CV screening.
- Stage 2 - 20-30 minute technical interview via Zoom.
- Stage 3 - 60 minute skills, experience and competency interview via Zoom.
- Stage 4 (a 90 minute practical assessment in Johannesburg - you will be compensated R500 for attending the Stage 4 assessment whether or not you are successful).

Candidate Requirements
The chef must be reliable and trustworthy, with a professional attitude.
The chef must be very knowledgeable about macronutrients, health cooking methods and calorie counting.
The chef must be able to design creative, healthy menus from scratch in accordance with bespoke nutritional requirements, with precisely measured ingredients.
The chef should be familiar with cooking a number of different cuisines (particularly various European and East Asian flavours) and skilled at cooking meats and seafood.
The chef must have high standards for cleanliness and be careful with maintaining kitchen tools.
The chef must be able to make delicious food without using any butter or dairy, and minimal oil.
The chef must be very knowledgeable about allergens, dietary requirements and suitable alternatives and replacements for ingredients.
The chef must have basic Microsoft Excel skills.
The chef must be able to drive for work and have a valid driving license that can be converted in Dubai.
Food safety and hygiene training and qualifications are preferable.
