More about the role:

You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of electronic instrumentation and control systems used in industrial and mining environments. The role covers both new product development and improvement of existing products, working closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure high safety, quality, and reliability standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electronic circuits and PCBs for instrumentation and control products.
• Work on embedded systems and firmware for electronic devices.
• Build and test prototypes and conduct functional and safety testing.
• Fault-finding and troubleshooting on electronic products and systems.
• Modify and improve existing designs based on testing results and field feedback.
• Assist production with technical support and manufacturing optimisation.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), test reports, and user documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with quality and safety standards required in heavy industrial and mining environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff on ongoing projects.

• PCB & Circuit Design: Altium Designer (preferred), KiCad / Proteus
• Simulation software
• Embedded development software
• Electronic testing equipment

• B.ENG  (Required)
• Able to work under pressure.

Meer oor die rol:
Jy sal verantwoordelik wees vir die ontwerp, ontwikkeling, toets en ondersteuning van elektroniese instrumentasie- en beheerstelsels wat in industriële- en mynomgewings gebruik word. Die rol behels beide nuwe produkontwikkeling en die verbetering van bestaande produkte, en vereis noue samewerking met die ingenieurs- en produksiespanne om te verseker dat hoë veiligheids-, gehalte- en betroubaarheidsstandaarde nagekom word.

Sleutelverantwoordelikhede:

• Ontwerp en ontwikkel elektroniese stroombane en PCB’s vir instrumentasie- en beheertoepassings.
• Werk aan ingeboude stelsels en "firmware" vir elektroniese toestelle.
• Bou en toets prototipes en voer funksionele- en veiligheidstoetse uit.
• Doen foutopsporing en probleemoplossing op elektroniese produkte en stelsels.
• Wysig en verbeter bestaande ontwerpe gebaseer op toetsresultate en terugvoer uit die veld.
• Help die produksiespan met tegniese ondersteuning en vervaardigingsoptimisering.
• Stel tegniese dokumentasie op en onderhou dit, insluitend skematiese sketse, materiaallyste (BOMs), toetsverslae en verbruikersdokumentasie.
• Verseker dat ontwerpe voldoen aan kwaliteit- en veiligheidsstandaarde wat vereis word in swaar industriële en mynomgewings.
• Werk saam met ingenieurs, tegnici en produksiepersoneel aan voortgesette projekte.

Programme wat gebruik word:

• PCB- en stroombaanontwerp: Altium Designer (voorkeur), KiCad / Proteus
• Simulasiesagteware
• Ingeboude ontwikkelingsagteware
• Elektroniese toetstoerusting

Vaardighede en Kwalifikasies:

• B.ENG (Verpligtend)
• In staat wees om onder druk te werk.
• Aandag aan detail.
• Tegniese Skryfwerk.
• In staat wees om sperdatums te haal.
• Leierskapvermoë – moet in staat wees om opleiding te verskaf wanneer dit versoek word.
