The Division of Kovsie Health and HIV within the Health and Wellness Centre invites qualified and professional nurses to submit their applications to be included in our pool of candidates for ad hoc part-time opportunities. This pool will allow the Centre to draw on suitably qualified professionals when short-term or hourly work becomes available.
Interested nurses based in proximity to the University of the Free State’s Bloemfontein Campus (including South Campus) and Qwaqwa Campus are encouraged to apply, ensuring regional representation across our service areas.
Please note that inclusion in the pool does not constitute or guarantee permanent employment, as appointments will be made on an as-needed, hourly remunerated basis.

• A detailed Curriculum Vitae.

• Confirmation of employment in the form of a letter, appointment contract, service certificate, or recent payslip from your current or most recent employer (applicable to external applicants only).
Duties and responsibilities:
• Perform professional clinical duties at the Primary Health Care Clinic.
• Perform other relevant duties as required by line manager.
• Capture clinical notes on electronic medical system.
• Assist with first aid services at sport events on campus where necessary.
• Assist with emergencies in the clinic.
• Liaise with internal and external role-players.
Inherent requirements:
• Nursing diploma/degree (general, psychiatric, midwifery, community nursing).
• Post basic diploma/degree in Primary Healthcare.
• Dispensing certificate.
• Proof of registration at the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• At least two (2) years relevant experience in a primary health care clinic environment.
• Must be able to travel independently to and from the health care facility.
Job Requirements:

• Certificate in HIV testing and counselling
• NIMART Trained
• Knowledge of PReP and PEP
• Dispensing Licence
• Drivers’ Licence
• Previous working experience with young adults/students
