A dynamic company based in Roodepoort is looking for an Accountant

Duties:

• Daily record of Cash Book transactions for all companies
• Monthly Cash Book reconciliations for five companies
• Prepare, calculate and post month end journal entries for all companies
• Provisional & accrual journal entries
• Preparing, calculating and submitting VAT on SARS e-filing for one company - monthly
• Preparing, calculating and submitting VAT on SARS e-filing for five companies – bimonthly
• Calculating Provisional Tax & submitting on SARS e-filing
• Reconcile entries between group companies
• Prepare Creditor reconciliations and submit for payment (all companies)
• Creating and submitting payments on Online Banking
• Check & sign-off Petty Cash – three companies
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register for all companies
• Maintain the Equipment Register with the insurance company
• Debtors – Creating monthly invoices, sending statements & following up on payments for two companies
• Check Monthly Salary payments
• Monthly EMP201 submissions on SARS e-filing for five companies
• Annual & Bi-annual submission of EMP501 reconciliations to SARS e-filing via EasyFile for five companies
• Preparing of monthly financial reports for five companies
• Assist auditors during annual audits
• Annual Budgets
• Assist with maintaining and implementing financial controls and procedures
• Ad hoc reports and spreadsheets
