We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Storeman to oversee the efficient operation of our storeroom. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stock management, excellent accuracy in data capturing, and hands-on knowledge of Syspro. This role involves supervising store staff, managing stock levels, ensuring smooth receipt and issuing of materials, and maintaining a clean and well-organised stores environment. The Storeman will work closely with the Head Buyer to ensure proper procurement and inventory control procedures are followed.
 
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the storeroom.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the stores area.
Supervise and support staff working within the storeroom.
Receive all incoming deliveries and verify quantities and quality of goods.
Accurately capture all deliveries into Syspro and ensure correct documentation.
Double-check all data entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Dispense consumables and stock in line with company procedures and authorisation processes.
Monitor stock levels and ensure adequate availability of all items.
Notify and report to the Head Buyer regarding required purchases, stock shortages, or issues.
Assist in stock counts, reconciliations, and general inventory control.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.
