Our client is currently looking for a Data Product Manager to join their team.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

·        3-5 years professional experience in data-related roles (data engineering, data science, business intelligence, or data product management)

·        4-6 years product management experience or demonstrated product thinking and delivery in data/analytics roles

·        Experience working with cross-functional technical teams throughout product development

·        Ability to frame problems and opportunities through business and user value lenses

·        Exposure to B2B software or enterprise data environments

·        Strong SQL proficiency and comfort with data analysis (required)

·        Solid understanding of data pipeline concepts, data quality, and integration patterns

·        Basic knowledge of API design and data delivery mechanisms

·        Awareness of machine learning and statistical modelling applications

·        Understanding of data governance principles and privacy regulations (GDPR, POPIA)

·        Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse Analytics preferred)

·        Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI highly desirable)

·        Experience with prototyping and lean product development approaches

·        Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

·        Understanding of data monetization strategies and pricing models - Strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills

Advantageous Experience

·        Python or Spark programming skills

·        Prior product management experience in B2B SaaS or data platforms

·        Solutions architecture experience or interest in developing these capabilities

·        Experience with marketplace or platform business models

·        Knowledge of alternative data industry and financial services applications

·        Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare)

·        Familiarity with data contracts, SLAs, and enterprise data agreements

·        Azure certifications or willingness to pursue certification

·        Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
