Experienced in maintenance excellence? Join a leading FMCG team as a Refrigeration Technician in the Western Cape!

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include operating and maintaining refrigeration plants, cold storage facilities, and controlled-atmosphere rooms to ensure optimal temperature control and efficient operation. You will be responsible for routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring accurate temperature and gas set points, and maintaining equipment for safe and reliable performance. Your expertise in CA systems, ammonia handling, and automated control systems will play a key role in maintaining consistent cooling performance and operational reliability.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have Grade 12/NQF 4 and at least 5 years of experience in a production facility, ideally within the FMCG industry. A further 3-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, CAT A3 ammonia certification, strong knowledge of compressors, condensers, PLC/VSD control systems, and electrical fault-finding are essential. A Code 14 licence with PDP is advantageous. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and solid interpersonal abilities will also be valuable.
