My client is looking for a Data Product Manager, based remotely in South Africa, with a Remote work model.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years experience in data-focused roles (Data Engineering, Data Science, BI, or Data Product).
• 4–6 years product management experience OR demonstrated product delivery within data/analytics.
• Strong SQL proficiency and data analysis capability (required).
• Solid understanding of data pipelines, data quality, governance, and integration patterns.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, product, UX).
• Experience designing technical specifications for APIs, data pipelines, and integration workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse preferred).
• Knowledge of data privacy frameworks (GDPR, POPIA).
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
• Ability to communicate complex technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of data monetisation, marketplace dynamics, or B2B SaaS (advantageous).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Python/Spark skills advantageous.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare) beneficial.
