Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels within their fast-paced operation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to ensure smooth stock flow from purchasing to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Control

• Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

• Conduct regular physical stock counts, audits, and reconciliations.

• Update and manage accurate stock records on the system, including receiving, dispatching, and adjustments.

• Analyse sales trends and stock movement to forecast future inventory needs.

• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

• Ensure stock quality, proper storage, and handling of damaged goods.

Purchasing & Receiving

• Create, place, and follow up on purchase orders.

• Verify all incoming shipments against purchase orders and manage associated documentation.

• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order confirmations.

• Oversee the receiving and checking of all inbound and outbound deliveries.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare regular stock reports, including stock levels, movements, and valuation.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and related documentation.

• Assist with budgeting by ensuring purchase orders stay within approved limits.

• Process return-to-supplier requests, credit notes, and handle stock-related queries.
