Salesperson / Depot Manager: GeorgeOur client in the galvanizing industry is on a recruitment drive for a dynamic, well-established salesperson to join their team. the main focus will be sales, however oversight of the depot, will form part of candidates duties.Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:Depot Operations ManagementOversee the day-to-day running of the depot, ensuring smooth workflow from receiving, processing, galvanizing, and dispatch.Coordinate with production to ensure client orders are scheduled, prioritized, and completed on time.Monitor turnaround times and identify bottlenecks.Ensure depot compliance with safety, housekeeping, and quality standards at all times.Manage yard layout, space allocation, and safe material handling procedures.Sales & Client Relationship ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for all client queries, quotes, and technical guidance.Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in construction, fabrication, engineering, and manufacturing sectors.Conduct site visits to understand client requirements and grow the depot’s customer base.Prepare and issue quotations, advise on galvanizing specs, and negotiate pricing within company parameters.Follow up on outstanding quotes and proactively close deals.Customer Service & Order CoordinationAssist clients with job submissions, galvanizing readiness checks, venting/drainage guidance, and job scheduling.Communicate clearly regarding lead times, discrepancies, non-compliant items, and job progress.Resolve complaints or service issues quickly and professionally.Oversee accurate job card creation and ensure all paperwork is correct before entering production.Quality, Safety & Compliance OversightEnsure all incoming steel meets galvanizing requirements (cleanliness, venting, fabrication standards).Liaise with quality control teams to address pre- and post-galvanizing issues.Enforce OHS protocols in the depot, especially around cranes, fo...

Qualifications:

• Matric coupled with a sales diploma
• Financial understanding
• Fluent in English / Afrikaans
• Fully computer literate
• Valid Driver's licence
• 6 years' experience in a similar environment
• Proved track record in sales
