Boplaas 1743 Estate, situated in Simondium, has the above position available for an individual with excellent organisational-, time management- and supervisory skills who has a passion for farming and enjoys working in a team.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership and team-building skills, and has the ability to perform well under pressure.

The incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Management of the entire value chain of crop production (from land preparation and production inputs, up to the point of crop acceptance by the pack house) *Personnel management, development and motivation *Management of day-to-day activities on the farm *Budget and Costing management *Management of fertiliser and pest control programmes *Irrigation scheduling *All other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field;

• 10 years’ experience with fruit production - citrus experience will be beneficial;

• Proven experience in a supervisory / management role on a farm;

• Good computer skills (MS Office);

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English).
