• All maintenance related activities at GML and MPE (workshop facilities) to fall under the authority and scope of the maintenance manager. 
• General authority over stock control and purchase orders of maintenance related items. 
• We strongly suggest a financial incentive directly related to improvements in plant and mining uptime in the form of a percentage of increased revenue attributed to maintenance efforts. 
• Take limited control of HR relating to maintenance and engineering staff, especially in terms of tracking work performance, attendance and appraisals. 

Plant Maintenance (Central and Central West):

• Develop a preventative maintenance programme and audit current procedures. 
• Enforce the programme. 
• Develop spares list and systems for purchasing stock and maintaining spares stock levels.
• Develop a breakdown procedure and allocate resources accordingly to alleviate effects of breakdowns while improving the preventative maintenance plan over time. 
• Review job cards and job card system and continue developing the system. 

Maintenance (HQ)

MPE work

• Take charge of developing and costing spares lists for critical and operational spares for projects
• Develop maintenance instructions and manuals for clients. 
• Take part in equipment selection and sizing for project quotes.
• Budget control
