✨ About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive Business Development Support Specialist to support the sales team by generating qualified leads, setting up appointments with decision-makers, and ensuring consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle. This role focuses on B2B engagement for managed IT services, including cloud solutions, servers, networking, and security for small to medium enterprises.

You will be the first point of contact with prospective clients, helping open doors and maintaining communication while supporting the sales team to close opportunities. A basic understanding of IT services is essential for effective engagement.

💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential SME clients for IT solutions

  • Make initial contact with decision-makers to introduce IT services

  • Filter leads so the sales team focuses on high-potential prospects:

    • Identify client needs or pain points that can be solved by the company

    • Assess current IT setups (outdated systems, multiple servers, unmanaged networks, security gaps)

    • Ensure the lead is the right fit for the company’s services

  • Schedule appointments and product demonstrations for the sales team

  • Follow up with prospects to confirm receipt of proposals, quotes, or marketing materials

  • Maintain accurate records of all leads, contacts, and communication in the CRM

  • Assist with preparing sales materials, presentations, and quotes

  • Track opportunities, lead status, and report metrics regularly


✅ Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in B2B lead generation or sales support (preferably in IT)

  • Familiarity with IT services (cloud, servers, networking, security)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software

Ons soek ’n proaktiewe Besigheidsontwikkelingsondersteuning Spesialis om die verkoopspan te ondersteun deur gekwalifiseerde leidrade te genereer, afsprake met besluitnemers te reël en konsekwente opvolg deur die verkoopstelsel te verseker. Hierdie rol fokus op B2B-betrokkenheid vir bestuurde IT-dienste, insluitend wolkoplossings, bedieners, netwerk en sekuriteit vir klein tot medium ondernemings.

Jy sal die eerste kontakpunt met potensiële kliënte wees en help om deure oop te maak, kommunikasie te onderhou en die verkoopspan te ondersteun om geleenthede te sluit. ’n Basiese begrip van IT-dienste is noodsaaklik vir effektiewe betrokkenheid.

💼 Hoof Verantwoordelikhede

  • Navorsing en identifisering van potensiële KMO-kliënte vir IT-oplossings

  • Eerste kontak met besluitnemers om IT-dienste voor te stel

  • Filter leidrade sodat die verkoopspan fokus op hoogpotensiële kliënte:

    • Identifiseer kliëntbehoeftes of probleme wat opgelos kan word deur die maatskappy

    • Evalueer huidige IT-stelsels (verouderde stelsels, veelvuldige bedieners, onbeheerde netwerke, sekuriteitsgaps)

    • Verseker dat die leidraad die regte pas vir die maatskappy se dienste

  • Reël afsprake en produkdemonstrasies vir die verkoopspan

  • Volg op met potensiële kliënte om die ontvangs van voorstelle, kwotasies of bemarkingsmateriaal te bevestig

  • Handhaaf akkurate rekords van alle leidrade, kontakte en kommunikasie in die CRM-stelsel

  • Help met die opstel van verkoopsmateriaal, aanbiedings en kwotasies

  • Volg geleenthede, leidraadstatus en rapporteer gereeld


✅ Minimum Vereistes

  • Graad 12
  • Minimum 2 jaar ervaring in B2B-leidraadgenerering of verkoops-ondersteuning (verkieslik in IT)

  • Bekend met IT-dienste (wolk, bedieners, netwerk, sekuriteit)

  • Vaardig in Microsoft Office en CRM-sagteware
