RPO Recruitment’s client, a well-established residential building contractor in Cape Town, known for delivering high-quality homes, renovations, and bespoke construction projects, is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator/Procurement Officer to support their expanding workload and help drive their projects from concept to completion.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities, managing tenders, and maintaining cost control throughout each project. They will handle procurement by sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring cost-effective buying without compromising quality. Working closely with project managers, site teams, architects, and engineers, the candidate will support contract administration, monitor progress valuations, and identify cost risks while helping to deliver successful residential building projects.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
• 3+ years’ experience in residential construction (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and local supply chains
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport
