- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Manage user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, and security permissions.
- Assist with tenant configuration, licensing, and data protection compliance.
- Website & Hosting Administration
- Maintain and troubleshoot websites hosted on cPanel.
- Liaise with hosting providers and domain registrars.
- Perform updates, backups, and ensure uptime monitoring.
- Network Setup & Support
- Configure and maintain LAN/WAN connections, routers, and switches.
- Perform basic cabling, Wi-Fi setup, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide remote and on-site support for computer, printer, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Install and configure operating systems and standard company applications.
- Vendor & Third-Party Liaison
- Communicate with ISPs, hardware vendors, and other external suppliers.
- Log and track support calls with third parties until resolution.
- IT Asset & System Management
- Keep an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Support with procurement, setup, and lifecycle management of IT equipment.
- Security & Maintenance
- Monitor antivirus, backups, and system updates.
- Report potential security vulnerabilities and assist with preventive measures.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Record all support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.
We are seeking a Junior Technical Support Technician to provide day-to-day IT support and ensure smooth operation of all company technology systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proactive problem solver with a solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, cPanel, networking, and general IT troubleshooting.
This is a junior-level role suitable for a candidate with foundational IT experience who is eager to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain internal IT documentation and contribute to the company knowledge base.
Required Skills
- Microsoft 365 Administration: 2 to 3 years
- Comptia A+ Or N+ Certification : 2 to 3 years
- Cpanel And Website Management : 2 to 3 years
- Basic LAN/WAN Configuration And Troubleshooting : 2 to 3 years
- IT Support Or Technical Helpdesk Role: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
- National Diploma or NQF Level 6 qualification in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Systems Engineering
- Technical Support / Systems Support
(or equivalent qualification from an accredited South African institution) - Microsoft 365 Administration experience (Certification such as MS-900, MD-100, or MS-102 advantageous)
- CompTIA A+ or N+ Certification (highly recommended for this role)
- cPanel and website management experience
- Basic LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting skills
- 1–2 years’ experience in an IT support or technical helpdesk role
- Exposure to Windows Server environments and Active Directory
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection basics
- Experience with remote support tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, etc.)
- Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems
