We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented newly qualified Chartered Accountant [CA(SA)] to join our finance team. This role is a critical support function for the department, offering an excellent opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to core financial operations, reporting, and compliance. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Lead the end-to-end preparation, analysis, and review of the company’s Annual Financial Statements in strict compliance with IFRS.

  • Prepare and distribute insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for key stakeholders, including management and the board.

  • Interpret and implement new and existing accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Treasury & Cash Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships.

  • Oversee daily cash positioning and execute fund transfers to optimize working capital.

• Financial Control & Accounting:

  • Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timelines and accuracy are met.

  • Prepare and review complex balance sheet reconciliations (including bank, control, and intercompany accounts) and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.

  • Administer the Fixed Asset Register and manage the accounting for Work in Progress (WIP), including capitalisation, depreciation, and impairment reviews.

• Audit & Governance:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for both internal and external auditors, facilitating a smooth audit process.

  • Prepare detailed audit schedules and proactively address audit queries to ensure an efficient and successful audit outcome.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify and drive process improvements and system optimisations to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and control of financial operations.
