Vacancy Details

1.     To ensure effective receipt of stock between warehouses and production plants in accordance with  procedures.

2.     To ensure effective warehouse stock management in accordance with procedures.

TASKS

a.           Monitor stock movement from Production to the warehouse.

b.           Ensure that Forklift Drivers pull good ware pallets from the lines and place them in the PQA area!

c.           At the end of the production shift, confirm that all pallets for that shift have been moved from PQA into the warehouse bins, and any pallets returned to the factory for reworks have been completed and returned to the warehouse.

d.           Ensure that ware not reworked on shift is not scored on that shift.

e.           Ensure that stock is scored according to the physical good ware received. Handshake between Shift Manager and Warehouse Stock Controller to be done at the end of each shift by signing off the score book.

f.             All other unused pallet labels must be deleted. Ensure that the last pallet label not used from Production at the end of each is attached to the stacking sheet.

g.           Allocate bin location to which the stock is to be moved from PQA to the Warehouse (S01).

h.           Ensure that after night shift is complete and all scores have been entered into the Production Score Book and these scores balance against the GR8.

i.             Ensure that discrepancies are immediately resolved with Production Manager/Shift Manager.

j.             Submit the Production Score Sheet to Finance Department for capturing.

k.           Ensure that warehouse stock (MB51), and Production Stock (GR8), and the production score sheet all balance, immediately after finance capturing has been completed. Ensure hard copies of all three are kept in file.

 

l.             Ensure that the following Storage Types (011, 902, 901, 012, PQA, 922, 980, 999 and 914) are cleared daily.

 

Interwarehouse Transfers

  •  All loads received from external warehouses must be inspected as per BWMR.
  • Any non-conforming pallets must be endorsed on the POD and Transporter copy of the delivery documents and a CPR must be raised against the Planning department.
  • All the non-conforming pallets are to be isolated from good ware and demarcated.
  • QA department to contacted for the final instruction.
  • Consolidation of all the warehouse claims and reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

STOCK MANAGEMENT

a.

  

Run daily reports to ensure all transactions are legitimate and are completed within 24 hours.

b.Ensure daily counts of all bin locations in which the stock from Production was binned after completion.

c.The Warehouse Manager identifies stock to be counted daily and advises Stock Controller, of the cycle counts through the Stock Count Matrix

d.Ensure that count sheets (system generated / manual) are printed prior to the commencement of the counts. (LX03/LI04N/ZRFCP/Manual Count Sheet)

e.Ensure that weekly full warehouse stock counts are conducted.

f.Ensure that all recorded stock variances are thoroughly investigated and handed over to the Warehouse Manager.

g.Ensure preparation for half-yearly and financial year-end stock count are completed according to the Stock Count Procedure.

h.Ensure all SAP transactions are completed to facilitate a clean stock count. (MB5T, LL01, VT12, ME2W)

i. Schedule bin-to-bin movements in line with stock management requirements.

j. Ensure the bins are checked prior to the movement and post the movement, and that there are no variances.

k. Ensure that the Put-Away, Picking Slip and Bin Movement forms are issued to FLD and / or Product Checker to physically move the stock. 

l.Ensure that non-conforming ware is clearly marked (stickers) and separated from good ware and placed in a demarcated area(s), and that it is blocked in the System (SAP)/moved to the correct Sloc.

m. Ensure that all stock sent to resort reflects in the resort Slocs, until it is received back from resorts as good ware as per BMW.

n. Ensure that all pallets identified for resort by way of QA Instruction form (B7/C7/W7/N7) are clearly marked with resort stickers by QA.

o. Ensure adequate repack packaging material on site.

p. Generate and update repack / resort reports daily and send to Value Add/Finance Departments to write off cullet.

q. Manage and report shroud usage monthly to the Warehouse Manager.

 

 

STAFF MANAGEMENT

a.      Conducting daily tool box talks, PPE inspections and staff attendance.

b.     Ensure Human Resource shortages are immediately reported to the Warehouse Manager and replacement resources are in place.

c.      Ensure absenteeism and leave management in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager.

d. Ensure that forklift inspections are conducted by forklift drivers. 

 

HSE PROCEDURE ADHERANCE

a.      Housekeeping in line with SHEQ policies and procedures.

b.     Ensure forklift drivers are monitored in terms of behaviour and correct such behaviour immediately.

c.      Ensure all incidents are immediately reported to the Warehouse Manager

d.     Equipment breakdown is immediately reported to the Warehouse Manager/Service Provider.

e.     Conduct two job observation per shift.

f.       Ensure the handover and takeover of the forklift checklist is checked and signed off.

g.     Walk the warehouse to identify non-compliance events causing SHEQ issues.

h.     Ensure all new staff are properly trained in the work instructions and Standard operating procedure before they start work

i. Ensure compliance on the 5’S system as well as quality and health and safety systems

 

GENERAL

a.      Conduct stock counts as and when required to do so by Management through the Stock Count Matrix.

b.     Ensure effective communication to the Distribution/Planning/Customer Services departments for any deviations to the load plan.

c. Ensure all end of shift reports are distributed to the Warehouse Manager.


Required Skills

  • Staff Management: 2 to 3 years
  • Stock Management: 4 to 5 years
  • Stock Controller: 4 to 5 years
  • Hse: 1 to 2 years
  • Glass Handling: 2 to 3 years

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Qualifications required by the position:

  • Essential – Grade 12 (NQF 4) with Maths 
  • Relevant NQF 5 qualifications (supply chain, management, etc)
  • National Certificate (NQF 5) in Warehousing Operations will be advantageous. 

 

Minimum experience and requirements by the position:

·      At least 2 years’ Experience in AGP-A Groups systems and SAP WMS

·      Inventory (stock) control experience essential

·      Own transport with a valid code 8 driver's license or reliable transportation 

·      Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supervisory position, with demonstrated Leadership.

·      Able to communicate (read and write) effectively in English.

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Must be physically fit and have a valid fitness to work certificate
